Worked example
Shrinking a 6MB photo for the web
Upload your 6MB PNG screenshot, choose WebP at 85% quality with max width 1200px, hit Convert — you'll typically get a file under 300KB that looks identical on screen. That's a 95% size reduction, perfect for blogs and fast-loading pages.
JPG: photos for the web. Great compression, no transparency.
WebP: the modern best-of-both — smaller than JPG at the same quality, supports transparency. Use it whenever the target site accepts it.
